Peder Rizzi
Born in Scuol in 1956, where he spent his youth.
In 1977 he completed the teachers’ seminar in Chur.
In 1979 he started studying music at the Zurich Conservatory.
In 1982 he completed his music education with the clarinet diploma and the 1st prize for music education.
Concert activity:
Concerts as a soloist in various formations. Wide range of music styles. – Guest performances and TV appearances in various European countries – Concerts in the USA and four tours in Japan.

Teaching position:
Lecturer at the Zurich Conservatory. – Training of vocational students in the major pan flute as well as instruction for laypersons – Summer courses in Arosa – Seminars at the DAJOERI Pan Flute school in Planatsch, Canton of Grison, Switzerland.

“Fespanola” for panpipe choir on the occasion of the 50th birthday of Jöri Murk and premiered on March 13, 1994 in the Prediger Kirch Zurich with 250 panpipe players from the DAJOERI panpipe school, the Lichtenstein panpipe choir, organ, percussion and rhythm group. Fr Rizzi dedicated this composition to the jubilee for his tireless efforts for the pan flute par excellence. 10-minute training: A detailed guide to playing the panpipe with short exercises. It includes posture, breathing, movement, intonation, bonds, vibrato and much more. The Divertimento Trilogy is a three-volume album with classic self-compositions in various levels of difficulty.

Commitment to the pan flute:
Peder Rizzi is committed to promoting panpipe training, especially vocational training. He is a founding member of the Pan Flute Switzerland Commission and a member of the SMPV (Swiss Music Pedagogical Association). The pan flute has been recognized in Switzerland as an examination subject with a diploma since 1998. The first exam graduate was Nicole Andris, main subject teacher: Peder Rizzi / Stanciu, with a diploma with distinction.
