Elizabeth Banks likens Donald Trump to her Hunger Games character Effie Trinket
Celebrities including Hunger Games actress Elizabeth Banks, Ugly Betty star America Ferrera and Girls creator Lena Dunham have bashed Donald Trump on night two of the Democratic National Convention.
Banks kicked off night by likening Trump to her character Effie Trinket. She said Trinket was 'a cruel, out-of-touch reality TV star who wears insane wigs while delivering long-winded speeches to a violent dystopia.'
'So when I tuned into Cleveland last week, I was like, "Hey, that's my act!"' Banks said.

Dunham and Ferrera walked onto stage hand-in-hand before introducing themselves, taking the opportunity to raise what they believe are Trump's thoughts on women and immigrants.
'I'm Lena Dunham and according to Donald Trump my body is probably like a two,' Dunham quipped.
'I'm America Ferrera and according to Donald Trump I'm probably a rapist,' Ferrera, the daughter of Honduran immigrants, added.

Dunham added: 'I know what you're all thinking, why should you care what some television celebrity has to say about politics?'
Ferrera replied: 'And we feel the same way. But he is the Republican nominee so we need to talk about him.'
Scandal star Tony Goldwyn also took the stage, and former president and possibly the country's first first man Bill Clinton will speak, followed by an appearance by legendary actress Meryl Streep.
Banks, the Democrats' emcee for the night, made a dramatic entrance when she arrived onstage - parodying Trump's appearance at the Republican National Convention last week.
She revealed to the audience that she saw President Bill Clinton address an audience when he first ran.

'I got a world-class education — and met my wonderful husband and business partner, Max,' she said.
'I'll never forget that day in 1992, when we went on a big, romantic date — a rally for Bill Clinton,' she continued.
'There, I learned something really important about show business: the headliner should always watch out for someone stealing the show,' she added.
It was there Banks discovered Hillary Clinton.
'Hillary Clinton rocked my world. In my eyes, she was, as the saying goes, the better half. Sorry, Bill,' Banks said, before leaving the stage.
Later in the evening, Dunham said: 'I am a pro-choice, feminist, sexual assault survivor with a chronic reproductive illness.
'Donald Trump and his party think I should be punished for exercising my constitutional rights. His rhetoric about women takes us back to a time when we were meant to be beautiful and silent.
